Dry Filtration

The aluminum industry is faced with some of the most stringent environmental control legislation and various stages of the manufacturing process for primary aluminum are capable of generating large quantities of pollutants which require treatment and collection.

Lydall Industrial Filtration have long-supplied filter media for use in the aluminum sector and are all too aware of the industry-specific challenges with which primary aluminum producers can be faced. From the handling and drying of the raw materials, through calcination, anode baking, electrolytic reduction in 'pots', reverberatory furnaces and casting operations, particulate emissions generated, both direct and fugitive, require control and collection. Fabric filters are commonly applied for air pollution control, but the gas chemistry of some of these processes can make them particularly troublesome.

Founded on our extensive application experience, this range of products from Lydall Industrial Filtration is designed to bring maximum benefit to dust collection systems in aluminum production plants.
