Several fibers are used to impart static dissipation, the most reliable is stainless steel as this has excellent thermal and chemical resistance and so can therefore withstand all the conditions which the fibers can handle.

MicroFelt has less course fibers in order to reduce the pore size which then captures smaller dust particles with the benefit of lowered emissions.
Glasstech
