Standard Felt

Acrylic normally refers to homopolymer products in this industry, but there are small amounts of copolymer used where the conditions are less arduous and price is an important consideration.

It is a medium temperature fiber, up to 120°C continuous, and has good chemical resistance as its structure imparts resistance to hydrolysis.  It is commonly used in applications with high moisture exposure and is also available in blended products for reduced cost.

ALKALIS - FAIR
HYDROLYSIS - EXCELLENT
SOLVENTS - GOOD

Used as Alternative to polyester when hydrolysis is a problem maximum 125c under conditions - used in the cement and limestone industries in power generation, and asphalt industries.

Maximum Continuous in Dry Conditions:  120°C / 248°F
Maximum Surge in Dry Conditions:  145°C / 293°F
